General Leasing Questions

How many people can live there?

We have 656 residents in 288 apartments.

Are the apartments furnished?

Your apartment will come with a couch, at least one chair, coffee table, entertainment stand, island with chairs, full size XL/twin size XL beds, bedside table, stackable chest of drawers, and student desk with chair.

Do all units come with a balcony?

All apartments come with balconies except for ground units and a select number of corner studio apartments due to space restrictions.

What size are the beds?

Our apartments offer Full or Twin XL Tempur-Pedic beds! We recommend queen size linens.

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

Additional furniture is allowed. However, due to storage constraints, we cannot remove furniture from furnished units.

Are there elevators?

Yes! There are two elevators in each building.

Is there a fitness center?

Yes, there is a space with over 2,000 square feet of fitness equipment, Fitness on Demand, free weights, etc.

Are there study spaces?

Yes. We have SIX study rooms you can use for individual or group study sessions.

How close to campus are you?

We are literally right on the corner of campus! We are within walking distance to all of your classes and your favorite Starkville eateries.

What other amenities do you offer?

We have SO much to offer! Our community has a state-of-the-art fitness center, resort-style swimming pool, a relaxing outdoor lounge with fire pits and grilling stations, a computer lab, multiple study lounges, a game room, and (2) sand volleyball courts.

If I'm over 21, do I need a guarantor?

Yes. All leases are required to have a guarantor. If an approved guarantor cannot be obtained, Greystar will accept a security deposit of one (1) installment.

What types of apartments/rooms are available?

We have four different types of apartments available, including studios, 1x1, 2x2, and 4x4 apartments. Each of those types has different floor plans/layouts to choose from. It’s all up to you! More information is available from our leasing office staff.

What types of leases are available?

We offer 12 installment leases. Each lease begins August 13th and ends July 31st. We lease by the bedroom. When you lease by the bed, that means your installment covers your bedroom only. The benefit of this is that you cannot be held responsible if your roommate does not pay or is late with his or her rent.

What utilities are included in my monthly installment?

ALL utilities are included with NO caps! The installment prices are all-inclusive at College View.

What is the cost?

The cost varies on the many floorplans and availability fluctuates every day. Please contact us at the leasing office at 662-546-4900 for leasing information.

Do you allow pets?

Yes! We love pets at College View! We charge a $300 non-refundable pet deposit fee but $0 monthly pet rent! Permitted animals must weigh no more than 50 lbs. and aggressive breeds are not permitted. No more than one animal is permitted in a bedroom and no more than two animals are permitted in an apartment.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Great news! We have a great feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. You can even submit maintenance requests! Just log on to our website, click the “Pay Rent” link. This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service.

How are rooms assigned?

Residents who already have preferred roommates can confirm their roommate match requests using RoomSync, our roommate matching platform. If they do not already have a roommate, residents will search for and choose their own roommate using RoomSync. Residents will be able to communicate with each other during and after the selection process. In the event that potential roommates discover that they are no longer compatible, they can request a different roommate and we will do our best to accommodate any change request. To provide sufficient time and the greatest opportunity for residents to find the perfect roommate, they should apply and sign a lease as early as possible.

What if I don't have a roommate?

With our roommate matching service, we can easily accommodate you—even if you don't have anyone to live with or enough roommates to fill an apartment. We have partnered with RoomSync to provide a modern matching platform where residents choose their own roommates. After you complete the leasing process you will be emailed a link to join our RoomSync network. You will then log in to RoomSync using Facebook, create a matching profile, and begin your search to find your new best friend - or roommate for starters. If you already have a roommate in mind, you can confirm your roommate request within RoomSync.

Can I request an apartment or roommates?

Roommate requests are first consideration for room assignments. Apartment preferences are taken into consideration but are not guaranteed. We do our best to satisfy all of your requests.

Can I pick my bedroom?

We encourage all residents to request a bedroom on the roommate matching card section of their online application.

Can I use my financial aid?

Yes, however, you should be sure to check with your scholarship/loans/grants, etc. to make sure you can apply Financial Aid to off-campus housing. You are responsible for the payment, not the University or Financial Aid company. We do not accept deferments; you must have the money given to you in some form and then you can pay us.

How do I secure my spot?

First you must complete your application, which can be done online. After we process your application, we'll move forward to a Lease Agreement. Finally, you will invite your Parental or Sponsor Guaranty to complete their portion. All of the paperwork can be completed online!

When is my first payment due?

Our first payment is due July 15th. There is no payment due in August, and the next payment due is September 1st.

Will you send me a bill for each installment?

We do not send any invoices, but for your convenience, you can use our online resident portal to check your balance at any time. Your copy of the lease serves as your bill.

When can I move in?

Our move in date is August 14, 2024.
